However, in 1985, due to the serious illness of his wife Liu Tianzhen, he ceased production until 1991. Old customers are very reminiscent of the taste of the early days, often asked Zhang Weibiao when to open the sale of cakes. In order to live up to the human touch of these customers, Zhang Weibiao reopened in 1991 and continued to introduce moon cakes with “thin skin and thick people” to express gratitude to the old customers.
